Breast Cancer Awareness

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month- Please support with donations and education for a cure.  Statistics show 1 in 8 women will find out that they have breast cancer or die from it.  I'm sure that you know someone's mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, niece or daughter that has been diagnosed with it.  These are the sign of the times and we have to do all that is possible to find a cure.
This hits close to home because two of my co-workers have been diagnosed and are currently going through chemotherapy treatments.  I personally know one of them ...with a matching scarf with every uniform.  I'm scared to death for them and myself.  I just thought I should put that out there.  Thanks for your support for a cure.

From My Hair Dairy September 11, 2014 #naturalhair

Two years ago, after I cut my hair off, I wore quick weaves-home-made wigs- straight or wavy. I was so use to my hair being at least 16 inches long for years, that I didn't know how to stop wearing fake hair!  Since  my hair started to grow, I started to like what my hair looks like on me.  I was surprised that my hair has actually grown 1/2 of an inch  every month. I can predict my hair growth. I have thrown away the fake hair and focused on my hair that I remembered as a girl before my relaxers, long, thick, nappy wavy and out of control unless it was pressed with a hot comb.  Every day is a struggle for me to NOT straighten my hair with a relaxer, especially on the humid or rainy days...
